2011

Another year. Saying goodbye to the old and bringing in the new. Last year was an amazing, so much love and family, Friends, sleepovers, beautiful music, meeting new and amazing people, talking about marriage at 2 am with my cousin, baptism in the holy spirit, finishing the new testament, saying goodbye to my lovely cousins aunt and uncle that I love so much, a new baby in the family, cooking yummy foods, camping out at grandmas while mom was in the hospital and being so happy when she was better, starting a new class, finding a new love for writing, getting a blog, seeing old Friends, watching two of my cousins find a special someone, and watching one of those someones become a faience, weddings, the pure joy and peace of my Lord, and so much more.

As I look forward to the new year I see the opportunity to do so much more than this year. More time to grow closer to Jesus my Lord. And the unknown, which can be scary but I have peace in knowing that as long as I follow His divine plan all will be as it should.

I pray that this new year brings so much love, joy, peace, and so much more.

9 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you believe it's down to 9 days away? My excitement is rising higher and higher! But I some times wonder if my excitement is for presents and food and family or if it's for what it should be, a time to celebrate the wonder of my Lord Jesus' birth. Do you ever wonder that? Well I am trying to make sure that it is set on just that! So even if the stress of shopping or cooking or anything else, keep focused on what CHRISTmas is really for!

The first snow!

The first snow has fallen, it's Finlay here! Oh how the beauty shows all around me! A few day's ago we got the first real snow! I love it! I wait for this every year, when my chilly world becomes a winter wonder land. Today I had the aaaaaaaaa privilege :) of walking a mile in a field bio class in the snow and cold and marvel at His beauty! Nature is one my favorite things that God has given us. It inspires me to write and to pray. So weather you have snow where you are or not, stop, look around, and enjoy the gifts he has given us!
